Dena Jacques
Sales Representative – Orlando, FL

On Veterans Day, we spotlight Staff Sergeant Dena Jacques, a Cavalier sales representative in Florida. Dena served in the Air Force from 2003-2009 as an aerospace maintenance supervisor.

Favorite beer: Cuvee des Jacobins Rouge, a Flemish sour ale brewed by Brouwerij Bockor N.V. / Brouwerij Omer Vander Ghinste in Belgium.

Most difficult part of service: Learning how to keep my mouth shut! A going away plaque I received from my first duty station had the phrase, “Don’t let your mouth write checks that your ass can’t cash.” It was a joke of course, but I minded my words after that.

Best part of service: The family. With the demand of work, you don’t get to visit home as much as you’d like to, but I always had my military family. We took care of each other during holidays, birthdays, and the good and bad times.

Proudest moment: The day I graduated from basic training. Sure, there were awesome moments after that, but I couldn’t have been prouder to know that I beat the odds and made it through.

Dena earned many awards for her service including the Achievement Medal for Meritorious Service and the Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service, and graduated with honors from the Airmen Leadership School and the Community College of the Air Force, achieving an associates in arts degree in aviation maintenance technology.

Thank you to all those who have served, especially Dena and many other Cavalier team members. Cheers to you!
